In the great duty-free shops there are many items on sale like jewelry, watches, china and crystal, quality electronic goods and perfumes. You can shop there in style and comfort and the prices usually are 30% to 50% less than in North America or Europe. Inside the terminal, the street-style lamps and also the plants make you think you are on a Barbadian street. Many vendors offer hand crafted objects and some even give home made cakes and condiments. There is a tax for every passenger that comes to Bridgetown. The tax is US$6.
From November to February there are the busiest months to come to Barbados’ Port. In that period, sometimes even five ships arrive each day. Queen Mary 2 was the biggest ship to come there.
